Comments:if texts should not be read or used without empowerment, etc, and could be dangerous, why not put that warning in BIG RED LETTERS so it is very clear. even better, make a pop-up so they have to click to close the box, then they might at least read it. otherwise it seems not enough care is taken to keep the teachings from unintended audience

Comments:Hi! thank you for a very interesting site! I am a Danish woman currently studying for my master's degree in the History of Religions with a project which is a comparison between Buddhist tantric, Hindu tantric and esoteric Daoist perceptions of the cosmic and symbolic powers of the universe. I am extremely interested in reading a translation of the Guhyasamaja tantra and noticed that you have Franscesca Fremantle's dissertation and translation. The problem is I can't open the file properly. I have tried several computers now but it won't work for more than a couple of minutes and it cannot be printed out which I need because I cannot read on a screen. What can I do? Hope you will help me. kindest regards, Signe

Comments:Thank you so much for providing this site. I have been studying Vajrayana and Dzogchen for many years, and have been hampered by a lack of material to study, as well as general poverty- I cannot afford to buy books regularly, as I live on a fixed disability income. Blessings on you for making this material available.
January 21, 2012 09:07:29 (GMT Time)

Comments:I quote: "Warning: Traditionally, some of these materials would only be available for viewing after the requisite empowerment or permission by a qualified teacher of the lineage. Many teachers regard reading such material without empowerment or permission as potentially harmful. " All the tantras are not to be read or studied and especially practiced without empowerment. I hope you have the karma to make up for all the people come across this and use these the wrong way or with the wrong view.

I practice Atma Vichara (40+ years) and have been aware of sphurana for many years. Comments:Amazing resource! I'm interested in and doing research on entheogens in origins of Tantra, especially around Oddiyana. I was a "hippie" in the 60's in SF. Went overland to India in 71-74. At the UW Madison from 75-81 with that generation of Buddhist scholars and practicing since on west coast, Nyingma...did all the retreats I upstate NY with Penor R. Lamas deny any use of entheogens, but my psychedlic roots find that hard to grok. I can't quite believe no psychedelics were used. Those Dakini Feasts in Oddiyana sound a bit suspect; the so-called Indo-Aryan "mother goddess" tradition seems related to the Greek Dionysian rites looks like it merged on the Silk me. I'll be looking at some of these articles, but let me know if you have any specific suggestions where to look for what was going on in the homeland of Garab Dorje and Padmasambhava. Comments:only just looked at the contents of this site, but can see will be an invaluable compilation of resources for scholars especially as it expands. My ex-wife, Lama Caroline has just lost her thesis as her hard drive crashed, so this will help to cheer her up a bit. You can look forward to her input in the future I expect. many best wishes, bless you whoever you are...

Comments:Hi ioannis, It is very kind of you to want to donate to the page, but this is something I wish to do as a form of service to others. The expenses involved are not beyond what I can afford, but it was a wonderful gesture on your part and I thank you. Ryan (siteowner)

Comments:Many thanks and great gratitude for your site. One small request from an OLD [30+ years] yajrayanist, please make it more readable for old eyes like mine. The mostly gray print on black may be readable for young eyes but not mine. I do like the fluoresecent green headliners. Purple on black is also unreadable. Thanks

Comments:Aren't some of the materials listed in the archive of a secret nature? As in one would need a HYT empowerment. It would be highly beneficial if you had member logins. The members would have to give proof of empowerment. It can be hazardous to the mental health of practicioners if they read Tantras without empowerment.

Comments:This site is so advanced that it can take a life time to comprehend the meaning of all the mentioned work. I am almost anxiously looking through the links and realize with deep happiness new ways to broaden my limited perspective. What a treasure!

Comments:You have what looks like the begining of a good site. It will need a lot of work for it to meet its real potential but so fare so good. I love the articles in the archive but they seem to repesents some kind of idiosyncratic course of study. Is this material you've gathered for a specific purpose? Are you working on your own dissertation or what's the deal?
